Donation
In the ‘good old days’ of print, machines like the Arab printing press and V&J Figgins book press would have been used on a daily basis.
For the last 25 years at John Price they have both been collecting dust and it seemed a fitting end to donate them to a worthy cause.
Winterbourne House and Gardens located in Birmingham already had their own working letterpress print shop and were more than happy to receive the donation.
Since they took delivery in March this year the Arab has been refurbished back to its former glory and is now fully operational.
Winterbourne is open to the public and on certain days the machinery can be seen working.
